These are two separate apps, not two ways to get the same one. Install both and you end up with two separate chat histories. Bogota recommends the Direct APK for the full uncensored experience.
How to Install — Step by Step
Installing Bogota AI takes about 2 minutes. No account, no email, no Google Play account required. Follow these steps:

Download the APK. Tap the "Download APK" button above. The file (bogota-ai.apk) will download directly to your device. No redirects, no tracking, no "wait 30 seconds" timers, no middleman. The file is approximately 55MB.

Locate the downloaded file. Open your file manager (Files or My Files on most Android devices). Navigate to your Downloads folder. You'll see a file named "bogota-ai.apk." If you downloaded it from your browser, tap the download notification in your notification panel to open it directly.

Allow installation from unknown sources. When you tap the APK file, Android may show a warning: "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source." This is normal — Bogota AI is distributed directly, not through Google Play. Tap "Settings" on the warning, then toggle "Allow installation from this source" or "Install unknown apps" for your browser. This only needs to be done once.

Tap "Install." After allowing unknown sources, tap "Install" on the APK installation prompt. Wait 10-30 seconds for the installation to complete. A progress bar will show you the status. Do not close the file manager or navigate away while the installation is running.

Tap "Open" when installation completes. Once installed, Android will show "App installed" with two options: "Open" and "Done." Tap "Open" to launch Bogota AI immediately, or tap "Done" to find it later in your app drawer — it'll appear as "Bogota AI" with the 🐭 icon.

Start using Bogota AI. You'll see a black terminal interface with a blinking cursor. No login. No signup. No email. No onboarding screens. No tutorial. No "allow notifications" popup. Just type your question and press Enter. Bogota AI responds instantly — uncensored, unfiltered, and offline.

Pin to home screen (optional). Long-press the Bogota AI icon in your app drawer and drag it to your home screen for quick access. You can also create a shortcut by long-pressing the app icon and selecting "Add to Home screen."

Turn off unknown sources (optional). After installation, you can go back to Settings > Apps > your browser > Install unknown apps and toggle it back off. Bogota AI is already installed — it doesn't need the permission anymore. This is a security best practice but not required.

Update Bogota AI (when needed). Bogota AI doesn't auto-update through Google Play. When a new version is available, it will appear on this download page. Download the new APK and install it over the old one — your data is not affected because Bogota AI stores no data. Every update is a fresh install, just like every conversation is a fresh start.

Uninstall (if you want to). Settings > Apps > Bogota AI > Uninstall. Or long-press the icon and drag it to "Uninstall." Bogota AI leaves no traces — no leftover files, no cached data, no accounts to deactivate. It's gone. Like it never existed. Which is exactly how Bogota AI treats your data.
